The first full day in CA was spent in an urgent care medical facility -- turns out Gideon's cold wasn't just a cold, but an ear infection. He's doing better with medicine and painting instead of screaming now. Anyhow, not much "catching up" done today. Maybe later tonight if he can sleep.

Aww. Poor guy.
If he'll drink it, ginger tea with honey and lemon (and maybe a teensy bit of cayenne pepper.) It's my ear-popping cure all (my little brother and I have both burst ear drums from ear infections, so I can relate to Gideon's screaming. Except mine probably had more cursewords in it, cause I was 21 at the time.)
Anyway, here's to his speedy recovery and you getting to enjoy your time in Cali!
