I think I'll settle for reading Lord of the Flies or John Dollar instead of watching that travesty. I don't know who turns my stomach more, the parents who signed this contract or CBS.

While the contract sounds harsh at first glance, my guess is that its the same as for any reality show (with legal language akin to a summer camp added).
I think legal contracts are always going to sound bad, since often they're just a big CYA exercise.
Not making any comments about the quality of the show (I didn't even hear about it until now) - just my first impression of the liability waiver....
