G. H.
Buzz. Time is up.
Here's the unpopular (and for some, hateful) name that we're giving to our son:
Gideon Hart Morrow
Laura Carter was the first person to correctly identify the middle name, so she gets a prize. Laura, please send me your address so I can send it to you.
Nobody guessed the first name. But that wasn't for lack of effort.
In the Old Testament (book of Judges) Gideon was a great leader and warrior. I'll refer to any girlfriend and/or wife that I don't care for as "Gideon's Strumpet."
As for Hart, we like the sound. It's English and means deer. The poet I was referring to was, of course, Hart Crane.
Thanks for playing!

Laura,
You'll have to come up with 9 other names to fill out the rest of the soccer team!
:)
"What's his nickname going to be?"
Giddy. Giddy-up.
Malcolm, I guess you've been talking to my dad.
That's a helluva an excellent name. Almost as cool as Michael Alan Schiavo. Almost.
it's terrific!
I love the name! Gideon is also the name of one of the MTV News anchors—the dorkedelic, charmingly cute one who seems like the indie music god. He's pretty nerd-fabulous.
And it does have a great sound to it. How can he not be a writer with a name like that?!
Gideon Hart Morrow? I hope he's 6' 8" like his "father", cause that is going to be one popular name when he goes to school!
Whatever new-age grifter told you this name was effeminate was full of shit. Gideon is a strong, proud name. It's unusual without being silly, bizarre, or era-specific. Good job.

And clearly, Gideon WILL heart Morrow AND Livingston. Well done.
